Trailer of »The Return«

On the film:

What does it feel like to suddenly find out you belong to a religious minority that only a few decades ago has been persecuted not only in your Polish home country but all throughout Europe?

The documentary feature »The Return« not only tries to answer this question but also presents to its audience an outline on Jewish life in Poland today.

During World War II the Jews in Poland had been literally eradicated by the holocaust. Today there are estimated to be between 12.000 and 100.000 Jews living in Poland. Certain is only that the community is growing and its significance is growing as well.

The lives of four young Poles are being presented in »The Return«. Only recently these women discovered their jewish roots and thus own their very unique perspective on jewish life in their homeland.
