Dear contributors to the Killing Sites Database project,
We are pleased to announce the completion of IHRA’s database “Network of Research, Education and Remembrance Initiatives on Killing Sites” and want to thank you warmly for your contributions.
The database is now available on the IHRA website and comprises contact details and project descriptions of organizations and individuals working on the topic of killing sites.
IHRA’s overall Multi-Year Work Plan project on Killing Sites aims to raise awareness of this centrally important aspect of the Holocaust and to facilitate bringing together the organizations and individuals dealing with the subject. Further information including a report of the conference held in January 2014 and a publication presented in March 2015 can be found here.
The new database serves as a platform for researchers, field workers, stakeholders, multipliers and initiatives active in the field. It is our hope that this platform will make a contribution towards sharing experiences and developing closer cooperation in the field of Holocaust research, remembrance and education. We would appreciate if you would share this database with your network. Please be in contact with IHRA’s Permanent Office for any revisions or questions: info@holocaustremembrance.com
On behalf of the whole of the IHRA, we would like to thank you once again for your efforts and participation in this project. We look forward to working with you in the future.
Kind regards,
Steering Committee on Killing Sites Executive Secretary
